A New Age of Sanitation

With the upcoming flu season posing much greater threats to human health than usual, it is more important than ever to adopt adequate sanitation practices in any public space as well as your own home. However, the most overlooked source of germs, pollutants, bacteria, and viruses is the air that we trust to live in within our homes. According to a study conducted by the American Lung Association, 87% of homeowners in the United States are unaware that the air quality inside their seemingly clean homes have the potential to incite various infections, diseases, asthma, and the risk of lung cancer. Additionally, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that the levels of indoor air pollutants are often 2 to 5 times higher than outdoor levels, and in some cases these levels can exceed 100 times that of outdoor levels of the same pollutants.

With the use of our Thermonet Teqair ionic purifiers, households across the globe will have the ability to naturally and effortlessly eliminate floating pathogens. Controlling the exposure of allergens, tobacco smoke, other pollutants with the use of TeqAir purifiers could prevent up to 65% of asthma cases, and up to 60% of cases of breathing issues caused by biological contaminants. In another TeqAir study, the TeqAir 200 system was able to reduce the number of air particles greater than 0.3μm from 3,762 all the way down to 756, having removed 80% of the pollution in only half an hour.

Our TeqAir devices mimic the purification cycles of nature by creating ion production, a process that is naturally carried out by the mountains and trees in our natural environment. The TeqAirs omit negatively-charged ions into the air, which attach themselves to viruses, bacteria, and other floating contaminants in order to weigh them down to the floor and out of your breathing radius. This also makes the devices 100% maintenance free, as there is no need to constantly replace filters like with most purifiers in the market today.

As we spend a majority of our lives breathing the air within our home, it is imperative that we take care of ourselves and our families by providing the cleanest, healthiest air possible, especially during the approaching season of immune system vulnerability. Breaking Hardwood Boundaries

Complete coverage carries complete comfort.  In its eternal endeavor to expand the limits of luxury, Thermonet America's commitment to satisfaction catalyzed the creation of novel solutions customized for hardwood, carpet and vinyl surfaces.  With that being said, ThermoFoil Pro was designed to streamline underfloor installation and cater to these delicate surfaces.

It is commonly assumed that radiant floor heating is restricted to stone and tile surfaces.  Granted, a vast majority of underfloor heating products are designed specifically for under-stone and under-tile installation.  Applying conventional stone-and-tile solutions to hardwood and carpet involve precisely and meticulously nailing or gluing planks or sheets on top of an adhesive concrete thin-set.  Consequently, installation is ultimately tedious and time-consuming.  In addition, the intense heating cycles would compromise the synthetic construction of vinyl finishes and damage hardwood laminate.  As such, underfloor heating is often restricted to kitchens and bathrooms.  Due to these limitations, it would be understandable if an individual found his/her overall underfloor heating experience lacking.

With ThermoFoil Pro, electric heating can be directly installed underneath hardwood, vinyl, and low-tog (less than 2) carpet floors with added efficiency and minimal buildup all while delivering the same level of performance.  As a result, the benefits of underfloor heating can be Designed for floating floors and concrete substrates alike, installation simply involves sandwiching a rigid insulation board, a ThermoFoil Pro Heat Mat, and an acoustic barrier overlay between the substrate and finish.  Alternatively, a vapor barrier can be substituted as an overlay if moisture becomes an issue.

Unlike the standard Thermonet stone-tile mat that conducts heat through a concrete adhesive thin-set, ThermoFoil Pro ensures even heat distribution through a double-layer of hard-wearing foil that covers the surface area of the heat mat.  This foil covering's unique construction not only ensures efficient heat exchange but protects ThermoFoil Pro's custom heating element, which was designed with the physical properties of hardwood, carpet, and vinyl taken into consideration.  Furthermore, peeling flaps placed near ThermoFoil Pro's cable loops allow for convenient accessibility for cuts and turns during installation.  Meanwhile, ThermoFoil Pro's featured continuous earth braid protection runs the entire length of the heating cable to ensure electrical safety.  In the end, all of these unique and innovative features converge to provide a streamlined and sound radiant heating system catered towards carpet, hardwood, and vinyl finishes.

Thermonet America's ThermoFoil Pro's timber, hardwood, and carpet-specific heating solution exists to expand coverage from just kitchens and bathrooms to dining and living rooms in an effort to complete the underfloor heating experience.  As vinyl and hardwood finishes surge in popularity and floating floors gradually replace traditional concrete substrates, Thermonet America's commitment to delivering premium comfort remains constant.

Electric Underfloor Heating is No Longer a Luxury

Read about why electric underfloor heating is no longer a luxury and how Thermonet America can help you evaluate the heating solutions for your home.

Over the past decades, electric underfloor heating was always seen as a luxury in the United States with only a niche minority of users.  As standard natural gas heating systems were cheap and abundant, there was understandably no need to invest in electric underfloor heating systems.  However, with dwindling nonrenewable resources (i.e. coal, natural gas, and petroleum) and the consistent deterioration of the planet's health came a push towards sustainable and energy-efficient alternatives.

In 2004, British brothers Stuart and Alistair Bell launched Thermonet, one of the most iconic and revolutionary mesh-based electric underfloor heating systems to date.  Energy-efficient, ergonomic, and easy to install, Thermonet was very much ahead of contemporary innovation.

This simple mesh system hides a treasure-trove of distinct features and mechanisms.  First and foremost, Thermonet's underfloor heating element weaved along the length of the cable to ensure persistent and efficient heating throughout the floor's area. Additionally, the heating cable's unique TwistedTwinTM construction mitigated the stresses of constant heating and cooling cycles to ensure lasting durability.  Furthermore, the parallel positioning of the cable's twisted multi-strand conductors neutralized electromagnetic fields (EMFs), which interfere with WiFi and cellular signals as well as increase the probability of cancers like childhood leukemia.   Surrounding this intricate mechanism is a signature thick yellow military-grade Elastomer coat that protects the cable from weathering and other undue external influences.

One thing to note is that Thermonet's innovation is not exclusive to performance.  Most notably, this state-of-the-art cable is then fixed onto a multi-purpose blue adhesive heating mesh in a griddle-like fashion to ensure even heat distribution.  This mesh not only sticks snugly to sub-flooring for simplified installation, but faces wire-side down such that the heating cable is protected from any undue stresses linked to installation by a hard-wearing layer of mesh. To top it all off, Thermonet's innovative "Layflat" extrusion technology ensures minimal (⅜ in./3.5 mm) height buildup to assist with streamlined installation.  As a result, this ultra-thin layer of heating mesh can be easily concealed within a tile's adhesive layer.  With all else said, Thermonet harnesses the spirit of innovation to improve both performance and simplicity.

Five years later in 2009, the European Union would congregate to launch the 2009 European Eco design Directive, which established Eco-friendly standards for all energy-related products.  In fact, Thermonet's high-performance design surpassed the novel 2009 Lot20 Compliance standards for energy-efficient heating systems.  Thanks to these persistent Eco-design initiatives, interest in electric underfloor heating gradually gained traction through widespread public support.  With this surge in momentum came the opportunity for Thermonet to probe more cost-effective and energy-efficient electric in-floor heating solutions.

Nowadays as electric underfloor heating consistently expands with the aid of government subsidies and Eco-friendly initiatives, the relentless forces of innovation behind Thermonet work tirelessly to deliver the most effective, energy-efficient and affordable electric underfloor heating solutions.
